Türker Art hosts Hale Karpuzcu’s first solo exhibition titled as’ Little Human’..
The main aspect of Hale Karpuzcu’s works is focusing on the ‘child’. Child, in different images appears with his toy gun in his hand targetting a huge rat or in her tiny luxury outfits like diamonds and fur and in some, wounded by the bullet of his toy soldier.
The artist aims to question the conception of a child in a society pointing the awareness of the ‘humanbeing’ between childhood and adulthood.
Hale Karpuzcu says “Although a child wants to exist as an individual, the society lays a specific role as ‘constantly’ being the ‘little human” of the elders. The child’s life is like a ride between dreams and reality. This ride between the two worlds can be enjoyable but painful especially when he is obliged to pass to the real path. Unfortunately, no one seems to remember that he is just a child. As a result, he’s no longer the ‘little human’.”
